Social Security and Protection:

As part of its work on ‘Inclusive Cities’, HomeNet South Asia has helped facilitate homebased workers’ organizations to work with city officials in an ongoing way; larger forums with urban authorities have also been held in Dhaka, Kanpur, Lahore, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Siem Reap, Bangkok and in many other cities in the region. The focus of this work has been on housing, zoning, water, electricity, transportation, markets and other means of strengthening homebased and neighborhood-based economic activities.
